It was a hugely successful weekend for Blake with two P1 class finishes and a P3 in the 3-race weekend. The 3rd race of the weekend was in poor weather, but Blake drove exceedingly well to take the waving chequered flag himself.
The weekend started so well, with Gus qualifying P3 for the first race and finishing 5th, then starting P3 for Race 2 as well he finished a respectable 6th after heavy rain stopped play for a wet tyre swap.
Alongside the hard work on track to get the maximum performance out of himself and the car to achieve top results, Angliss also puts in countless hours of work off track to ensure he’s in the best position possible to achieve success.
The weekend started so well, with Gus qualifying P1 - Pole position for his first ever Porsche Carrera Cup race. The race started well, with Gus leading for 20 of the 23 laps. Then he unluckily picked up a slow puncture and it became difficult - a 4th place finish in Race 1.
Gus Burton had an incredible year last year with Century in the BMW M4 GT4, winning the British GT 2021 Drivers Championship along with the Teams Championship - this season he drives the Porsche GT3 Carrera Cup car.
Motorsport rising star Blake Angliss will be returning for a second season in the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup this year in partnership with Rosland Capital and Century Motorsport.
